What to say, what to say about myself?

Well, for starters..My name is Onjel (think of saying it like Ahn-Jel if that makes sense...). I'm from New York..Staten Island to be exact...Maybe that's the reason I'm not really a city girl, but I like to be close.

I graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies. My concentration was on Japanese studies and yes, I read, write, and speak Japanese as a result.

I am in love with photography, makeup, the Cooking Channel, cute things, Japanese culture, translation....

In fact, my interests are the reason why my blog is named Delightfully Pretty. I love aesthetically pleasing things, both conventional and unconventional and wanted a place to explore more of that fully.

What can you expect from this blog?

Definitely expect to get to know more about my tastes and interests, and by extention..myself. Previously, I posted mostly about makeup/swatches...but I'm going to expand that a little to better suit my needs so I can post more often.

What do I expect to get from blogging?

It's not often mentioned, but my goal is to share and to connect. I love to hear from people who are into similar things, have different ideas, etc...So please don't hesitate to drop me a line or a comment, or anything. The more the merrier!
